Tigress was near the village

There was a tigress outside, near satara village. Satara village is on the eastern boundary of tadoba. She was in the satara filled .she attacked on a man badly .he was drunk and fallowed tiger on July 2nd, 2010, around 8 am. He was from kolara .there were curies people near her whole day.

She is around ten year old. Teeth are too week because she cant break the bon. She is partly blind. She was under treatment from the month.

She came out of tadoba on date July 2nd 2010. there were 25 polis men and forest stop .they were just watching her. They thought that at night she will go back tadoba I thought so. There was heavy rain that night so all people ran to home. I went to my friend at satara.

She came in to satara at night. She attacked on two men again. People were watching whole night. She went to next village around 4am. Village name is Masal.

There was too rush. There reached forest department and polis. Forest department gave her injection by the gun. Then she got sleep.forst DPT put on her neat and put her in the cage..

Water whole Census day of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

I had participate in water whole census in Tadoba on date 1/6/2010 .I sat on the watch tower at 11.00 am. Spot name was Aswalhira (sloth bear water whole.) .it is famous for to sloth bear. There wasn’t little wind whole day. Temperature was around 45 degrees .it very inside. I got relief from hot in the evening. There I saw sambar, monkey, cevet cat, peacock and two sloth bear. There was too hot. I took sweat bath these days. I made shade on the watch tower for shadow from the branches. There was too little water .I herd growling call of female tiger and four cubs. I had waiting for them .they will com to us but they didn’t come. There was other person with me from forest dpt. Name was Sudhakar Dadmal. He is one of the trekker from Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve.

When sloth bear came there. it is a male sloth bear .because male are smart and fat than female. When he was drinking water that time he was making different voice like gut gut.
It was very new for me.

I get down from the watch tower at next day morning at 9.00 am. I saw pugmark of two tiger cubs. There was other watch tower. That man was saying that two cubs came to us and they were watching for an hours.

Really it was nice experience for me.

Protect jungle from fire!

On this day i was at home and I saw fire so I went there to check to find out where the fire was. I put out the fire.

My request to everybody:
WHEN YOU SEE A FIRE IN THE FOREST YOU GET SOME PEOPLE TO HELP YOU PUT IT OUT. IF YOU DON'T THEN ALL FOREST WILL BURN AND DIE.

I went to the Tadoba as a Guied with Swapnil Choudhari on Dec.26 th at 2pm .we heard strong alarm call of Sambar and saw some pugmark of the Tiger.We have been waiting for Tiger.we were on the Nawegaon road near the lake.Call was on one side and come out on the another.

Again on 27 th Dec. as per stated above . we saw same situation regarding Tiger.

There is one femel with four cubs.I have Vidio one of them.Tiges happily briding in Tadoba.Tadoba is good home for the Royal Begal Tigers.My vidio is good example for that.

saved snake

My villagers had been killed thousand of snake every year lack of snake awareness .it was too bad .i hadn’t happy with that work. I heard news on dated 4th October 2009 about snake. But I hadn’t any money. I took some money from neighbors .I went to the snake camp and learned snake catching.

I catch spectacle cobra and checkered keelback in my village on dated 16th November 2oo9. I leaved it in the Tadoba jungle.

I catch cat snake in my village on dated 17th November 2009.i leaved in the Tadoba jungle.

Sambar saved by the Tiger

On May 15th 2003 there was a wildlife census in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. I was participating with a forest guard, his name was Mr. Rohankar. Our spot was on the Kolara Zari watch tower and it was full moon.

We saw two tigers at 4pm and there was a sambar kill. The tigers were eating and enjoying with each other. Generally people say wild dog or dhole can kill tigers, because wild dogs live in packs and tigers are solitary animals. The tigers were there from 4pm to midnight. At midnight they were both in the shade of the mango trees. At the same time a sambar came there followed by a small animal, it was running behind the sambar. They were running very fast so I thought I must be a sambar baby. As the sambar reached the watch tower it stopped in front of both tigers at a distance of 8 to 10 meters. The sambar noticed the and it made an alarm call. Then we saw that the sambar baby was in fact a wild dog. So the sambar stood in between two tigers and a wild dog. I thought the tigers would kill the sambar. After the sambar made an alarm call a pack of wild dogs came running to the spot. The sambar ran away and one of the tigers charged the wild dogs. After chasing away the wild dogs the tiger came back to join the other tiger and they went inside the jungle.

Tiger attack

I was on protection duty with the Forest Department at Bhanuskhindi protection hut. One night at 4 am we heard the sound of a spotted deer. I felt that spotted deer was killed by the tiger. Near the protection hut was a drain and I went there to brush my teeth. In the morning I heard alarm calls of a jungle fowl. I was looking for the jungle fowl but there was a tiger on the opposite side. I didn’t know that the tiger was walking towards me slowly. When I saw the tiger I was shocked. I started shouting ‘tiger, tiger’ and the tiger ran away. Two guys heard me shouting and came running to me. We looked and found pugmarks of the tiger and followed them until we reached the tiger kill at 8 feet distance and saw the tiger sitting there.
